Previous tutoring experience in Biology at the secondary school level. I enjoy tutoring students in the sciences because it is a highly evolving field, with so many new discoveries and advancements being made. Science is an important field of study for all students. I want to help students overcome any insecurities or confusion they may have in order to help them gain confidence to continue their science education. I have taken many undergraduate and graduate level science, biology, and environmental classes. Classes such as ecology, microbiology, immunology, zoology, genetics, chemistry, organic chemistry, and statistics. Educational graduate level classes focused on assessment, literacy instruction, research methodologies, and instructional strategies, are helpful to tutoring in science. I have worked in the environmental field since I graduated college. Specific areas include environmental testing laboratories, agriculture, environmental consulting, wind farm development, and on-line environmental sustainability writing.
