Education

Physics major, Education and Math minor. Getting a Bachelors degree in Physics and Masters in Education. Class of 2018

Experience

Tutored math on my own before. ACT composite test score: 34, ACT math test score: 35. I want to be a tutor over the summer because I think it is good practice for teaching students, plus I love math and kids and I am excited to help students with math. I've taken advanced math in high school and completed my first year of college with 2 honors calculus classes under my belt. I was an assistant teacher in a 10th grade math class this past year, and helped kids learn about geometry and theorems.

Hobbies

I'm interested in math and physics, but apart from that I keep myself entertained by playing basketball, tennis, piano, and ukulele. I really enjoy babysitting and working with kids, which is why I want to become a teacher when I grow up, because everyday is different. I want to try and equate my enthusiasm for math and physics with my enthusiasm for teaching, that way my students will not have to suffer through a dull tutor/teacher. Using a textbook as a guide, I can properly explain concepts and equations to my students, and then relate them to real life scenarios, because I have found that relativity keeps students interested.
